Did you think things would be quiet now that Jack in the Green is over for another year, then be ready for a surprise, though most probably aren't surprised, from this evening until Sunday is a folk music festival! Yes, Hastings Folk Fest 2017 begins this evening with an open folk session at The Stag and an Irish music session at The Albion, both starting at 8.30pm, and the regular Tune Raiders at The Dolphin Inn and an 'Equatorial Group' at the First In Last Out (FILO), both starting at 9pm.
The 'Headline Act' is billed as Fairport Convention at St Mary in the Castle, Saturday 7.30pm, though music every day until Sunday; see website for further details of venues and acts. Have fun!
