With the dissolution of Parliament at 00.01 hours this morning, you no longer have a Member of Parliament; see Parliamentary website for more details.

We now have entered the General Election campaign proper! Whatever your political opinions, or lack of, this could well be the most important decision made on behalf of the British public, you and your children, and their children and their progeny. Don't listen to the spoutings of any candidate without remembering what YOU believe in, it's not just about leaving the EU, both future Labour AND Conservative governments would ensure the UK leaves the EU, it's not just about who is the respective party leader, it is also about our future, whether we continue to have a National Health Service, a decent environment, holidays and social welfare benefits, whether we have functioning train and bus services, and so much more... So question the candidates when you see them, ask them what they would do for you in actual terms, not just soundbites, then hold whoever wins to account.

People did give their lives so that you can have the right to vote, use it!

End to Fixed-term Parliaments Shock!

So, despite continually saying she would not hold a 'snap election', at least 7 times on film, our Prime Minister wants to hold a general election on June the 8th 2017, that looks like a 'snap election' to me, and an end, probably, to the 2011 Fixed-term Parliaments Act following just one general election held under that Act of Parliament!

So, in what will be the most important general election of my lifetime, it will be important to vote, subsequently, to register to vote. You cannot now register in time for the May local elections, but you can for this coming general election (I've just checked on-line at the Government website). So, if not already on the register, I'd advise you do register as soon as possible, because I wouldn't be surprised to see that opportunity disappear soon in the current international climate of tyranny, so I'd also recommend you vote to end the growing single party state in Britain, a disunited kingdom... We need a coalition government that genuinely reflects all opinions in this country NOW!

Register to Vote, again!

For the second time this year we are being asked to register to vote!

Like me, you've most likely had a letter/registration form through your letterbox, which you need to complete and return in the envelope provided, or you can register on-line. If you require further information, have a look at the Government's website. 

Deadline Day!

If you want to vote on the 7th May, or just do not want to get fined, this is the deadline day to register, link to website. 

3 Days left in which to Register...

There are still 3 days left in which you may register to vote, if you have been asked to register, it is illegal not to, subject to a fine... 

The deadline is 20th April, and your vote really does matter. You can register on this page @ the Government website.

A wee while ago I suggested that if you aren't already registered to vote, then it is worth doing so, especially as you may face a fine if you don't...
