Remember to vote today!

Thursday 3rd May 2018, and it's the day to vote in every seat of Hastings Borough Council for the first time ever, as I said in my recent blog! I'll be off to vote in less than 90 minutes time and, though local elections don't have such a big turn out as general elections they are still important, indeed, fewer votes often allow numpties to get elected, so don't waste your vote, I'll try not to waste mine! 😕

Your vote matters!

Time to Vote!

General Election day 2017, there are other candidates in the Hastings & Rye constituency battle, but, realistically, it will be one of these two candidates who will be your Member of Parliament from tomorrow, ie the incumbent and Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, or the leader of Hastings Borough Council, Peter Chowney...

We live in a democracy, and we can vote for who we want to vote for, or we can vote for no-one at all, should we want to, but what kind of future do you want for yourself, your children, and their children? Today is the day when you can influence that future...

Your vote matters!

3 Days left in which to Register...

There are still 3 days left in which you may register to vote, if you have been asked to register, it is illegal not to, subject to a fine...

The deadline is 20th April, and your vote really does matter. You can register on this page @ the Government website.

If there's an article you should read...

I know I said I wouldn't mention the coming general election much, so I won't, but, if there's an article you should read, it's on page 9 of the current Hastings Independent (fortnightly, issue 27) and entitled "Why your vote matters in Hastings", a good read, and in no way an argument for any side, it just asserts that in Hastings "your vote really does matter..."
