Albany Taxi Charity run to Hastings today.

Over 200 taxis arrived in Hastings this lunchtime with their special 'fares' and support vehicles... 35 years ago, London cabbies got together to take children with special needs to the seaside, initially 72 children were taken from Bermondsey to Margate. The Albany Taxi Charity's events have mushroomed since, coming to Hastings since 1992, and more than 500 children are brought on events now. If you wondered what all the honking of horns was about, and why hundreds of taxis were invading town, now you know!

If you want to know more about the charity, either go to their website, which is soon to be reconstructed, or their facebook page.

Nice one, and welcome back to Hastings to you all!
