Save Ore Library Campaign
Following on from my recent blog about planned library closures forced on East Sussex County Council due to central Government cuts in local government funding, there is currently a campaign to save Ore Library (facebook page) which has a meeting tomorrow morning at Ore Community Centre starting at 10.30am.
For more information about libraries under threat see BBC website.

Future of Old Town Hall Public Meeting
Old Town Hall
The Old Town Hall/Museum has been closed for some time now and, despite a short usage recently by the Hastings International Piano Concerto organisers, the building still awaits a planned purpose!
History House
Well, something could be happening soon, indeed, this evening, Monday the 14th of March, there is to be held a meeting, 6pm for 6.30, at the History House in Courthouse Street, to discuss possible alternatives for the use of this wonderful old building in the High Street; a chance to put forward your views and to hear other's ideas too.

Dog Mess - Meeting with Councillors
A little birdie (quite a few of them talk to me) has told me that there will be a meeting with local councillors on Monday evening, 6-8pm, at the Plough up on the West Hill. I believe that the councillors concerned represent Castle Ward, but others may be present too. Whatever, it will allow residents to bring up their concerns about dog mess on pavements and the seafront, and other issues regarding litter could well be discussed too...
The Plough Inn
So, either write to your Hastings Borough councillors, or turn up for 18.00 to 20.00 hours, Monday 29th February 2016, at The Plough Inn, 49 Priory Road TN34 3JJ, a chance to influence policy regarding fouling and litter in Hastings!

Don't forget the Greenpeace meeting this evening!
The Greenpeace public meeting, in support of local and sustainable fishing, is being held at the East Hastings Sea Angling Association, above 'Classroom on the Coast', at the Stade (opposite the RNLI lifeboat station), starting at 6pm this evening (website).
I'm not sure if entry will be via the doors here, or from the Association doors at the end of the building right opposite the RNLI. The information isn't clear, so be prepared for either. Whatever, I'm looking forward to this evening!
