Stan Pepper R.I.P.


I noticed that the Red Ensign outside the Fishermen's Museum was at half-mast this morning, so went down and had a chat with Peter there. The Red Ensign is flown at half-mast by the Museum when a fisherman dies and until their funeral, and this time it was for Squeaky's (Pete Pepper, who died late last year, see blog) brother, Stan.

Pete "Squeaky" Pepper's Ashes...


Pete "Squeaky" Pepper's ashes were today passed to the sea, with thanks to Podgy and many other friends, and glasses were later raised to his memory, R.I.P. 😢

Memorial for Pete "Squeaky" Pepper


On Monday evening, a further small memorial was held for Hastings fisherman, Squeaky, and a small plaque placed where he used to sit in his regular pub for many years, the Dolphin Inn, Rock-a-Nore Road.

R.I.P. Pete.

Red Ensign at half-mast again...


Sadly, the Red Ensign again flies at half-mast at the Fishermen's Museum in Rock-a-Nore Road, following the death of retired Hastings fisherman, and regular at the Dolphin Inn, "Squeaky" - Peter Pepper R.I.P.

The funeral will be held at the Crematorium on Friday November the 4th at 2pm, and Jonathan Mendenhall will be celebrating his life, amongst the grief...
