With the Hastings Pier Charity in administration, and the Pier having been put up for sale by the administrators, the Friends of Hastings Pier has been re-formed as a voice for shareholders and supporters, and to campaign to keep Hastings Pier in community ownership.
An emerging local business plan is being compiled and the Friends of Hastings Pier is seeking to unite shareholders and supporters behind the plan to keep the Pier in community ownership. Consequently, a meeting has been called for Monday 23rd of April 2018, from 7.30 to 9.30pm at the White Rock Theatre opposite the Pier. Members of Friends of Hastings Pier will be having a coffee on the Pier beforehand at 6.30pm.
