Say goodbye to the old fivers!

Today, Friday 5th May 2017, is the last day you may legally use the old paper £5 note. If you have any, or find one, or some, stuffed down an old sofa, or in a pot somewhere, after today you can still ask your bank to exchange them, though they aren't legally bound to it appears. If you still have problems, remember, these are IOUs from the Bank of England, and, at their website, they explain how to exchange them.

Good luck with that!
