Oil Strike update!

Coincidentally, I was walking in the Weald with my brother yesterday, but, updating my blog of the 9th of April, latest results of drilling finds that the estimated amount of oil in the Weald basin has risen from 158 million barrels of oil per square mile to 271 million barrels of oil per square mile! We are reassured that fracking is NOT on the agenda due to the high amount of oil that can be extracted from conventional wells (see BBC).

Now, I'm not saying that millions of petro-pounds will be pouring into Hastings, but further developments may well be interesting...
