Yesterday, someone I know was having gas installed, a brand new supply, consequently, completely new pipes going into the building. After taking this photograph at about midday, I rushed off very quickly as I saw a worker there lighting up a cigarette and smoking it! I'm not easily unsettled, but didn't really fancy hanging around...
Anyway, the supply and its hole were left like this overnight, and until 30 minutes ago (2pm-ish), where this hole is mostly filled in... it's only about 6 inches deep now, presumably waiting for the next 'gang' to arrive and make the finish 'road worthy'.
Life, or death, eh?
